♞ 50 Questions - Equestrian Edition ♞ 1. English or Western? English. 2. What discipline do you ride? None rn, just go on hacks and trail rides ect. 3. If you could switch disciplines, what would you do? If I had to choose one, Showjumping. 4. Have you even ridden bareback? All the time! 5. Do you own, lease or just take lessons? My mom boards her horse at a barn, which we visit every Sunday afternoon, where I go and see "my pony," she is technically not my pony, but I do everything with her including feed,groom and bathe her. The owner of her (which is the barn owner, who my mom is very good friends with) gladly lets me do this and is very thankful that I'm taking good care of her. So, she is not mine, but we have such a special connection and I always spend my time with her, people call her mine! <3 6. Can your horse do any tricks? If so, what are they? No. 7. Horses, ponies or drafts? Ponies. 8. What's the worst pronunciation of a horse related word you've heard? Someone saying dressage wrong! 9. Have you ever dressed up your horse in a costume? No, I want to though. 10. Best memory with your horse? When "my pony" laid down and I laid down with her, I just remember closing my eyes and feeling the sun on my skin. That day I just felt like we had such a strong connection. The other pony that is in her pasture laid down first, and then she did too, and the horses in the pasture next to her were still in the barn, so I felt that she trusted me to keep watch and make sure no one was going to unexpectedly come up. (Horses are prey animals so usually they make sure some one is standing watch for predators.) 11. What was your first horse experience? I remember it was spring & I was about 4-6 years old and I was in a pasture filled with yellow flowers, holding "my pony" on a lead rope, and just like knowing, she's going to be my best friend forever! <3 12. Have you ever fallen off? If so, how many times? Yes, about 3 times. 13. What was your worst fall? Falling off a horse, while she was moving. 14. Do you ever look at horse shows/movies/toys and laugh at how inaccurate they are? All the time! :D 15. Has your horse ever gotten colic? Nope! 16. Have you ever tried a horse treat? Not yet.... 17. Have you made your horse treats? If so, what? No. 18. Worst horse / horse riding injury? I was 6 years old and it was summer time and I wore flip-flops to the barn (BAD IDEA). I was helping my mom lead a pony to his pasture and he stepped on my foot. My foot was bruised and hurt for a long time after that. And I never wore flip-flops to the barn again! 19. What's your favourite horse breed? Appaloosa. 20. What's your favourite horse coat colour? Grey. 21. Have you ever used a stall as an emergency bathroom? No. 22. What's your horse's name and breed? Dapple gray! 27. Ideal horse height? 16 hh! 28. Ever ridden on the beach? I wish! 29. If you could ride anywhere, where would you ride? On the beach or on a trail ride through the mountains! 30. Are you the horsey girl/boy? Yep! 31. Thoughts on "Horse riding isn't a sport"? Horse riding is a sport. It has been in the Olympics since 1912, plus there are competitions all the time,so it is definitely a sport! 32. Have you ever ridden while sick/injured? No. 33. Biggest show you've ever competed at? Don't do shows. 34. Highest level you've ever competed at? Don't do shows. 35. If you do, how high can you jump? I don't. 36. Favourite discipline in the Olympics? Showjumping. 37. Diamantés or not? Yes! 38. What braids can you do? (Button, running etc) Normal Plaits. 39. Have you ever tried hay, and was it good? No. 40. Do you draw horses? All the time. 41. Is your horse fat or skinny? Skinny. (We recently had to up her feed because she was so skinny, but we couldn't tell because of her winter coat. 42. What way do you clip your horse(s) if at all? Full Clip. 43. Who is your horse riding inspiration? My mom. 44. What was the name of the first horse or pony you rode? Mountain Frost. 45. How long have you been riding? Not sure. 46. Indoor or outdoor arena? Outdoor. 47. Do you believe it’s important to go hacking out/trail riding with your horse? Yes, it's nice for them to get out of the arena and have a little fun! 48. Favourite horse quote? If you have gained the trust of a horse, you have won a friend for life. 49. Do you have little free time because of horses? I still have some free-time because I only go to the barn 1 day a week. 50. Are you obsessed with horses? 100% Obsessed!
