2024 update im gonna change some stuff ALSO 2023 me lied i did not bring a spare outfit what was he on about. i also didnt bring sunscreen . oh never mind just changing my "what im bringing " i was actually cooking with this? go 2023 me ig this is basically a guide on pride! if you have any tips/things to add please tell me! this will probably be updated all month. happy pride and stay safe! also- sorry for the physical disability section being small. i plan on expanding it, but due to not knowing many people on scratch with physical disabilities, and not wanting to speak over people who have disabilities i couldn't fill much out. i could give tips on asthma though cause i have that haha
also, message to anyone not going to pride for any reason, whether unsupportive family, in an unsafe state, just dont feel comfortable there, i hear you! you guys are super valid, whether you celebrate pride loudly, or not. whether you can go to pride events, or just ones online. and i totally understand not feeling safe at pride for any reason - whether you feel like you might face racism, dont know if they'll have accomodations for your disability, you think you'll be judged for how you present, you're identity has been left out, youve had bad experiences, or anything else, you're valid. your feelings are valid. if youre angry about it, that's super valid! as great as pride is, it absolutely needs to be more inclusive and welcoming. also, to all identities that have been judged in our own community - aros, aces, alloaros, alloaces, loveless aros, bi, pan, non binary, genderfluid, pangender, any xenogenders, neopronouns, polyamourus people, and anyone else whos been left out: you dont deserve that. you deserve to be cared about and respected like any other member of the community. and any anger you have is very justified. you're all incredibly valid, and you're identity is yours- not anyone elses.
