So, uh, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? It’s been more than a year since FNWS 4 was released. And about 9 months since the last piece of news related to FNWS 5 was teased. And, well, the reason is very simple. Well, three reasons. 1. Life has just been busy. I’ve had a lot going on with high school, so a lot of things have been put off because I haven’t had the time. 2. My art and coding style has improved significantly. Which means for it to look more in line with my current style, I’d have to remake the whole game from the ground up. 3. I’ve started to grown disinterested in Scratch. I probably won’t leave any time soon, because I have a lot of friends here that I like, but I’ve started to make a private shift towards content that is a little bit too crude for Scratch. My Swappostor Drawings project is a great example of that, where most things had to be censored because I can’t mention them on this website. And I’ve realized something as well. I’m starting to get tired of coding Five Nights With Spyder 5. It’s taken up my life, to where any other things I want to work on are slowed down because I’m worried I’m not making FNWS fast enough. It started out as a fun challenge to see if I could make a FNAF Fangame, but eventually spun out of control. I just kind of want to move on from it. Now, if this sounds like the prelude to me annoouncing that the series is canceled, that is understandable. However, it is not. I know many people have made theories on it, and what could happen, and plenty of people have contributed. It would be a waste to leave with no closure. But, I WILL be doing something a little different. Recently, I had a realization. FNWS 5 just didn’t work with gameplay. When I designed the game, I mostly thought of the lore and events that would go into it, but when gameplay came to mind, I just threw out whatever might work. It was never meant to be scary or fun. It was meant to be a satisfying conclusion to an almost four year long story. And so, FNWS 5 will not be a game. It will be a series of animations that chronicle the events that close out the story. Any cutscenes I made before my art-shift will be remade, hopefully taking less time. And I will get this out. And not only that, I will make more content for be series. But it will be the content that I enjoy making. FNWS 1 and 2 Remastered are still coming out. FNWS UCN is still coming out. A number of animations for the series are still coming out. A full recap of the series is still coming out. But only when I want to work on them, and only when I think that I can do it. Yeah, this ended up being a lot deeper than I intended it to be. If you’re worrying about me right now: Don’t. I’m fine, and I’ll BE fine. I just wanted to announce the direction this series was going, but it ended up like this. Bye!
