Hello! Yesterday, I adopted my new daughter Millie from CAC. With hard consideration, I decided she was perfect for me. She loves western riding, so I let her “have” my western horse Doba. I also surprised her with a trail ride this morning! I got my LeMieux grooming bag from Greenleaf and taught her how to use each brush. She enjoyed giving treats to Doba and Dollo. Then, I helped her tack up Doba. With her height, it was a little hard, but she could put on the saddle pad! We went out to a wooded trail behind my BRR stables. We started at a walk and I talked through everything with her. I told her techniques and how to post. We tried a slow trot and practiced starting and stopping the horse. She was great. Being so young, I new this would be a challenge for me. Especially since I am looking for a house atm, but I am willing to help raise her for the rest of my life! I think I will be giving her lessons in western and English riding here at BRR. As much as I prefer English, I can make an acceptation for her. Here is a little more about my new daughter Millie.
