Tolkien publication: 1937 genre: fantasy + adventure ┊s u m m a r y a hobbit by the name of Bilbo Baggins finds himself swept up among 13 dwarves in an adventure (hobbits are meant to lead dull lives). with the help of his new friends, he is planned to steal gold from an evil dragon by the name of Smaug. though, of course, there are obstacles along the way. 'The Hobbit' is a wonderful novel that has delighted readers for almost a century. ┊r a t i n g ★★★★☆ such a beautiful book, though it took such a long time to read!
