Also, you can't really see it, but Nevermore has cat-like pupils! About Nevermore: TW!! Heavy religion, death . . . . . . Nevermore's actual name is Gabriel and was born in Australia in the year 1887 and died in 1899 trying to save a woman that was getting mugged in an ally. Was stabbed and went to limbo where the angel Azrael greeted him. (The one covered in eyes.) Two tattoos formed on his neck as he awaited judgment, a broken star with wings, and a devil face which Azrael took as a sign Gabriel was neither good nor sinful in his life and so they sent him back down to Earth as a fallen angel for the time being to figure out what to do since he can't go to heaven or hell. Back down on Earth Gabe goes to college, finds a girl he later marries and has two kids with, and tries to balance his good meter so he can join the spirits in heaven. Long story short one of his children died, his son Asher. Gabe's wife, Mary, is devastated and blames the death on Gabe since she knew he was a fallen angel, and apparently to her that means you can revive people or predict deaths. Gabe tries to explain to her that he couldn't and that Asher died from an illness, not due to him. In the end, Mary divorces and kicks him outta the house and had never sees his daughter or her again. Years pass and Gabe turns into an angry individual and soon joins an assassin guild to blow off some steam and to basically make heaven annoyed since he blames God for all of this.
In 1953 the guild falls apart and Gabe is left by himself, an immortal in a mortal world. Time passes and it's now 3029. Gabe's an attorney now as a cover for his night job. When night comes he's a heartless mercenary that k1//s people he deems sinful using the name Nevermore as an alias. Soon he gets into some trouble, his closest friend that provides him with weapons and outfits turns out to be a traitor that leaks his secret out to a new "hero" in the making. A woman named Esther that is determined to stop him and his heart. Esther finds out all his weaknesses (Holy water, pure steel) and traps him on the rooftops. Long story short an archangel called Joseph helps him out by getting him out of the trap before the water and steel burn him to death, while this happens Esther made her getaway. Gaberial doesn't trust Joseph at all and tries to run away from him, Joseph has wings and easily caught up to him. The archangel explained had had his eye on Gaberiel for quite a while and he wanted to help out. After hours of bickering, Gabriel finally decides to accept his help and they go off to find out who this Esther really is. They end up falling in love with each other but don't tell each other at all. The whole story is way too long to explain here, but basically, Esther summons all of hell to the overworld and Gaberiel tries to stop her by bringing a bunch of his connections to this battlefield to stop her. Joseph brings all his angel buddies and boom war. In the end, Gaberial gets a chain blade of pure steel through his throat and he manages to get to Joseph on the battlefield before he oofed. He ends up confessing and they kissed as he burned away. Boom, he dead, and as his first wish as an angel (something I added to this world, when a new angel is born they get one wish) he makes all the demons return to hell.
