been a bit of a while since I posted a project, huh? anyway, new fursona just dropped!! this is Vance, he’s literally just me, as a protogen! if you couldn’t already tell by his name and symbol, he’s based on a very near and dear console to me, the Nintendo GBA. his colors and design however, I was sick and tired of seeing countless protos that are just shades of gray/black with maybe an accent color in their screen, and wanted to make an actually creative protogen design! I absolutely love bright colors and wanted to reflect that in him. I will actually be making him into a fursuit, electronics and all! I’m not using a premade kit like from kaiborg, but instead went and modeled a helmet and visor myself in solidworks and will print it using my school’s large 3D printer! I’ll start off with just a minipartial and depending on whether or not I’m able to figure out armor I might make a fullsuit of him ;-0 materials I’ll use for him: - adafruit 64x32 LED matrix x2 (will wait to print helmet before deciding on 2.5mm or 3mm) - raspberry pi (do not yet know which model I need to run matrices) - 40mm USB fan - PLA filament (helmet) - 2mm or 3mm PETG sheets (visor itself) - iDye Poly black (tint) - neodymium magnets (to attach visor) - fur from Big Z (white, baby blue) and Howl Fabrics (hot pink, fluro yellow) - ash minky from Howl Fabrics (claws, earrings) - SUPER CUTE music note cotton from JOANN (paw liner) - white fleece (tail base) - nylon strips (belt loops) - high density upholstery foam (1/2”, 1”) - EVA foam - upholstery thread :flex: - hot glue - superglue wish me luck :pray: why are there virtually no sparkleprotogens!!!!! where are they!!!!!!!!
