The Nexus of Paradus ~ Prologue Eclipse hurried down the hallway from her room to the throne room, where she hoped to find both her parents. However, only her mother was present. As the young teen entered the room, she realized that the council was also in attendance. She bit her lip wishing she hadn't come. Nonetheless, the sun queen greeted her daughter with warmth and without any hint of anger. "Oh, Eclipse, Nice of you to join us, I assume you completed your survey of Paradus?" The princess nodded in response. "Yeah, but it's not good-" Eclipse said but was cut off and lowered her head as the council began to jeer. "She's lying," "I bet the world is fine," "A teenager would never be able to-" "Quiet," commanded Queen Lorus, unleashing a burst of light that briefly illuminated the entire room. "Please, my dear, share with me what you've seen." Eclipse inhaled deeply and proceeded to deliver her report. "The four kingdoms are currently enrolled in a fierce war. I suspect that the Shadows are planning to reclaim control of Paradus, as I saw some lurking in the families of the kingdom leaders," Eclipse finished with a heavy sigh. The council once more erupted in shouts and jeers. Amidst the uproar of the council, the queen maintained a tight-lipped smile as she watched the sun slightly dip below the horizon, a rare moment of unity for the divided parents of Eclipse. Suddenly, the Moon King materialized in a burst of purple smoke, interrupting the chaos and commanding attention. "Silence!" he boomed, noticing his wife's struggle to restore order. Eclipse smirked and joined her mother and the Moon King, but all three of the family froze as something appeared before them, in bold, crimson letters.
