-- Steel OS 3 Beta 2 [Version 3.0.2315.B2] -- > Codename: Zenon > Compiled: 14:11 / 2:11 PM EST on 6 June 2023 > Size: 53 megabytes -- Patch Notes -- - Added functionality to Marketplace. - Added a program available in Marketplace. - Changed the appearance of the "Wallpapers" panel. - Changed the remainder of the icons. (Excluding Quanty) - Added a mostly non-functional "File" menu to Memo. - Fixed issues with conflicts between PDF Reader, Marketplace, installables, and File Browser. - Fixed an issue where the "Open" button overlapped with the Clicker Game and Calculator programs if they were open while File Browser was. - Fixed an issue where the close and minimize buttons for Clock overlapped with several programs. - Added an extra dock category for installed programs. Known Issues: - Your regular issues with Calculator and Quanty. - The positioning of the program open indicator for the installable Steel OS Museum is way off. - Some overlapping issues may be present still. I need to do a thorough analysis of what is and is not overlapping in Steel OS and patch any bugs with that stuff. - The options menu in PDF Reader is useless. I know, I know. I need to create menu options for it. - Many items claim to, but don't exist in Setup. They will be added. - Installable programs can't be uninstalled. Yeah, I know. I haven't created a setting in Setup allowing you to uninstall programs. -- Extra Notes -- I should note two last things here: First, I've got some big plans for Steel OS 3, and the OS that will succeed it, Steel OS 4. Second, these OS projects are probably starting to push Scratch's uploader to it's limits - I thought there was a 50 MB size limit, but there isn't. This project is 53 megabytes, which is astonishingly large for a Scratch project.
Created entirely myself. - License: GNU GPL-3.0 - Source: Will be available in the future! -- Update 2024-12-01 -- Of the original Steel OS branch, this is the latest and final Scratch build I will post. I'm going to backtrack to an earlier build (if I remember to) and continue the Scratch version as "Steel OS Classic". I'm also unsure if it applies to this project, but one of these builds has a problem where some graphics are rendered as a question mark in a box. This doesn't happen on more powerful systems, and it could possibly be fixed by reloading the project.
