Lynxkit - AFAB Lynxkit is a light brown AFAB cat, with violet eyes. She has a darker stripe down her back, and the tips of her ears match this colour. She has a few brindle markings throughout her body, especially around her cheeks, and tail. She has a muted peachy brown diamond in her chest, as well as a patch above her nose. Her eyes are a purple, that shine out against their pelt. Her ears and nose are a terracotta, that show traces of brown. Accessory: Lynxkit is given a heather and vine headband, to wear. Please provide research! || Personality (try to not make them too op, good characters have flaws) || CODEword (MUST BE HIDDEN IN SENTENCE) || Other Name: Lynxkit Why I chose her: I chose Lynxkit, because I really connected with her design, and she reminds me of myself. Plus, we share a prefix, and this is basically what Lynxfoot looks like. Pronouns: Lynxkit uses she/her and they/them pronouns. She has difficulty when she’s young, as she has no idea what gender feels like. She’s kind of unsure, so she just ignores it, and decides that she doesn’t need a set gender. The most normal pronouns for her AGAB are she/her, and she’s used them since she was a kit. These just feel normal for her, and she wouldn’t ever change them. They/them just also sounds nice, and she likes the idea of being gender neutral. What she gets to warrior age, she realises that she might be a Demigirl. It suits her. She kinda felt non-binary as an apprentice, but not enough that she wanted to switch. And now she had a comfortable in between, and she felt secure. However, she later felt unfulfilled Sexuality: Lynxkit had always been slightly repulsed by romance as a kit. It just creeped her out, and made her fur prickle. The cats around her laughed, and said that it was just a phase. As she grew older, it didn’t go away, and she strongly despised relationships. She hated them, and they were disgusting in her eyes. Cats just said that she just needed to find that certain someone. And this disturbed her even more. She had always known that she was aroace, but it was subconscious, and she started to feel an outsider. Everyone else had relationships, and she just….she just didn’t want any. She felt an outsider, until she learned that it was ok. She didn’t need to feel attraction, and that was fine. She’s start to feel relived, and then she’d begin to come out to her closest friends and family. Lynxkit would feel pleased, and more content. However, as she got older, she realised that this just didn’t fit anymore. She /did/ feel attraction, but only when someone liked her back. She found the label of reciprosexual/romantic, and it fitted perfectly. She then decided Disabilities/disorders: Lynxkit suffers from anger issues, as well as anxiety. This may seem like they contradict each other, but really, they go hand in hand. Or paw in paw, in this case. As someone who suffers from anger issues, and possibly anxiety (it’s not been diagnosed), I can confirm this. (Btw, these will most likely not be the official names for the terms, I’m just describing it best I can). There are many types of anger issues, and most often, you’ll see a great variety of them. Inward anger with outward, mixed with blackout rage. It’s complicated, and it can also cause you to be very emotional. Anger can cause a sort of spiral, or panic, and fear. This can also cause a kind of anxiety (the emotion, not the mental health thing). It’s really quite straining, and it has a really bad effect on my mental health. I can’t describe it, it’s really hard. Another thing about anger, is the guilt. You can say things you don’t mean, without thinking. When you’re in a fit of blackout rage, you aren’t even conscious. The guilt is heavy, and so much stress, and anxiety come out of it. The anxiety affects Lynxkit in many ways. It makes her worry that she’s doing something wrong, that she’s messed up, she’s missed out something, she’s failed, they all hate her. She has such low self-esteem, and she bottles all her anxiety up, until it all just suddenly explodes out in anger, or causes her to hate herself, to constantly beat herself up, and punish herself. Lynxkit doesn’t know what to do about all this, and she struggles greatly. So yeah, I know it wasn’t the best description, but there you have it.
Personality: Lynxkit may seem to be very insecure, and nervous, with a fierce temper, but she does a great job of putting a mask over it. Her persona is neat, confident and intelligent, with an air of formality. She doesn’t understand jokes all that well, and she can be very reserved. Really, she values friendship highly, absolutely loving company, an extrovert at heart. However, she can be very clingy, and worries constantly that her friends don’t like her. She is obsessive, and finds it hard to let go. She feels panicked, and whenever she feels she’s being left behind, she tries even harder, but this drives people away even more. She tries so hard, but in the end, it doesn’t even matter. As a warrior, she’ll eventually give up on friendships, and isolate herself. Maybe at some point, she’ll find someone to help bring her back into the light. She’ll learn how to be a good friend, and finally, there will be hope. Codeword: Some random trivia about Lynxkit - She loves the scent of heather, and this is kind of her comfort flower. This stems from her garland, that was gifted by her ren. - She has love/hate feelings for her former parents. She hates that they left them alone, and didn’t come back, left them to d13. She wished her family was like a lion pride, always staying together, forever. She also feels like her parent was the one cat who would have understood her, and feels a connection to them, whoever they were. She knows shell never meet them, but their memory still comforts her. The heather garland is her best possession, and she would never leave it anywhere. - Her favourite prey is rabbit or hare.
