For those who dont know this is the last recorded sound of a Kauaʻi ʻōʻō it is a male doing a maitng call unbeenownst to it that not only is it the last of its species, not the last of its genus, but last of its FAMILY so essentialy its calling out despite not knowing nothing can respond and these birds mated for life, the call it supposed to be a duet of which the gaps in this call are supposed to be where the female sings
