Holiday of Corruption Reena POV After our disastrous mishap in Colrystal, Nicky, Ikos, Belle, Artemis, Lennox, Nova, and I headed to PeaceGlow, land of democracy and politics. "Why are we here again?" Nova whines. "I hate the Light Realm. Nothing but forced equality that isn't really equal. All they do here is make people basically worship minority." "Again Nova," Artemis explains patiently. "We are here to seek information on how to find the Mysterious Desert." "AND we need some form of protection. The illusionist sands will play tricks on our minds without protection of blessings from Aria." Nicky says absentmindedly. Ikos places a hand on her shoulder. "How do you know this?" Belle asks suspiciously. "That's none of your business" Ikos interjects. "Look at Ikos! He's talking!" Lennox laughs and claps Ikos on the shoulder, who promptly shrugs it off. "Lennox sweetie, leave us alone." Nicky says in her honey-thick voice. The teen boy rolls his eyes and starts talking to Nova. I finger a strand of my fire red hair. Ive spent my whole life capturing criminals and now I'm saving the Realms in a group full of them. Even Belle, a financial whizz, is an Outlaw at heart. "Psst. Artemis." I whisper, calling the only other true citizen to me. "Yes Reeva?" My fellow redhead complies, walking over with her hands clasped behind her back. "Help me. I keep thinking bad things about our company because I'm so used to having a mindset of 'capture those who broke the law on sight.'" "Of course." My friend replies. "Start by talking to Nicky. She may be sneaky, but she's sweet and will love to hang with you." "Lovegirl? No way, I'm not dealing with her temper if Ikos says something to make her mad." I protest. "You asked for my help. That's my suggestion." "Ugh fine. AYO PURPLE BRAIN GET OVER HERE!!" "Also don't call her a purple brain." Artemis advises "Yes yes. Hey Nicky, can you tell me something cool about PeaceGlow?" "Oh , I'm sure. Today is actually an annual holiday called..." she trails off, trying to remember the name. "Holiday of Corruption." Ikos says, smiling a bit. "That's out little nickname. It's actually the Day of Gold. This day, 2150 years ago, the first government building was officially constructed. We call it Holiday of Corruption since that one building set off a movement of equality over justice in this Realm." Nicky finishes. "Should we be worried about this Holiday? Wouldn't the street be crowded?" Belle asks. "Probably, but I know someone who may be able to help." Lennox replies. "Nova, help me with this hm?" The girl with a green braid and cyberpunk boy sit down and start whistling in harmony. Soon a small silver ball rolls towards us. Nova picks it up and hands it to Lennox, who gently presses it to his ear. "Yup. Mhm. Got it. See you." When Lennox is done, he crushes the small ball in his fist. "My friend says to find a place to stay for the next 2 nights. We'll meet at the Pearl Fountain in 3 days." "Alright!!" Artemis cheers. "Sleepovers! I'll start looking for a hotel."
