Well. This was no small task, every aspect of this locomotive was a nightmare but at the same time a fun challenge. I built this in response to @CodingToTheMaximum loco request from coming second in my train building challenge. Unfortunately this loco isn't as detailed as I'd love it to be, I'm just far to pressed for time to add anymore. from 965 to 968 ECGR ordered 65 DI-1 class diesel locomotives to replace the 14B and 19A steam locos however a second version of the DF class was built from 966 to 967 using the DI class as a base however the DI class was the first EGCR diesel to be produced by two manufacturers being Northern Electric & SMW which were classified as the DI-1 and DI-2 there was also a second version of the NE built designated as the DI-3 which had HEP generators for passenger service the DI class was one of ECGR's first major classes of high power diesel locomotive
