follower goal met. luckily for me, this was the least cringe one in there. Still cringy, though.
Once Upon a time, when the season was always springtime and the earth had never seen the cold, there lived two witches, two sisters, who lived far apart. One lived in the far North, and one lived in the far South. Both witches concealed their magic and pursued careers as famous cooks, and were known far and wide for their food and the lucky things that seemed to happen to their customers. A cold cured here, a romance built there. The sisters never infused bad magic into their ingredients, as neither wanted to cause harm. Until one day, the Witch of the North came in after harvesting vegetables from her garden, and decided to have some fun for once. She, for the first time in her life, hatched a plan to cause harm. The Witch made a potion, splashed it on her vegetables, and started her workday, adding the veggies to every dish. And the next morning, when her customers woke up, they all had horrible stomach aches, headaches, backaches. Every part of their bodies seemed to hurt. And when they made the connection that the only people who had this were customers of the witch, everyone, even the people who didn’t have the aches and pains, was furious. They marched up to the restaurant owned by the Witch of the North, and demanded to know what was going on. “WHAT DID YOU DO TO US!?” “THIS IS THE WORST!” they cried. The Witch acted innocent. “What are you talking about? I’ve never done anything of the sort!” she exclaimed. “I don’t have any idea what could have happened, unless-'' she pretended to look thoughtful- “Unless, my sister in the south did this! She’s a witch, she must have poisoned my crops!!” she explained, not revealing who she really was. “She lives in the FAAAAR South, you should leave now and catch her! I’ll pack my things and follow you!” she lied to the angry crowd. The Townsfolk believed her, leaving for the south immediately. And while the Witch of the North stayed in town, The people traveled for months to get to the far south, where the Sorceress of the South lived. The Sorceress, who was older, wiser, and kinder than her sister in the North, lived on a mountain and saw the Townsfolk coming miles away. What on earth could those angry people be doing? She wondered. The Sorceress looked down at the beautiful green mountain and wondered, Are they after my restaurant? No, they can’t be with those angry faces, she concluded. So as she pondered this and watched them, she realized that they were watching her specifically as they traipsed up the mountain. Oh. If there’s a problem, I’ll just magic them up here. So she did. And as she heard their story, she got increasingly angry at her sister. By the end of the explanation, she was livid. “Thank you for telling me. Goodbye.” She said, instantly teleporting everyone within a 3000 mile radius to the place that we now call the equator. Out of rage, she made both where she lived and where the Witch lived freeze over, creating the North and South poles. The sisters are there to this day, The Sorceress making the cold return all over for a while each year to remind people not to get hateful.
