The Nexus of Paradus ~ Chapter 1 "Remember Lucas, never interact with any other clans, we're the water clan or Aqwalus clan. The fire clan or Emburn clan is our worst enemy as well as the-" His mother reminded him of this every day, but even as the words echoed through his mind, he paid no attention to her advice and swam to the surface with a grin on his face. Living underwater in a castle with his family, this was one of the few moments he could enjoy the fresh air. As he emerged from the water and crawled onto the shore, heading for the nearby grove, he was met with a burning sensation. He looked down and was met by the heat of a fierce blaze, growing out of control. Lucas shouted for help but his voice was drowned out by the crackling of the flames. He still hoped someone would hear him. Suddenly the cause of the flame was revealed. In the middle of the firey vortex, He saw a black-haired boy with orange tips at the bottom of his hair, the one person Lucas feared could do this. Suddenly, Lucas woke, gasping for breath. Arriving at the door he sighed and stepped into the exit and closed the first door. The outside door opened releasing water into the exit and Lucas swam out into the open water. He smiled seeing all the fish, he marveled at the beauty of their scales. Lucas shook his head and chuckled, realizing how late he was. After breaking the surface, he pushed himself onto the shore, his clothes somehow instantly dry. Lucas was met by the voice of a friend. "You're late again," the voice teased with a hint of a laugh. "/So/ sorry," Lucas said, sarcastically and laughed as well. He walked up shore to the meeting spot under the slightest bit of tree cover. As Lucas approached, he saw the black-haired boy with orange tips, a member of the Emburn Clan's royal family, waiting for /him/... Next: None yet First: Previous:
