Background info: Moss is a kittypet and Riverpuddle is a warrior cat. they never really liked each other until Moss was expecting kits. then they both came close. but Riverpebble's clan is leaving, and he has to leave Moss behind with her kits. Moss belongs with her twolegs and Riverpuddle belongs with his clan. "Awww..." Riverpuddle exclaimed softly while looking at the kits. "They are beautiful. and look like you!" Moss replied, gleaming at Riverpuddle. Riverpuddle smiled back and licked the three kits. "I can't believe you are leaving. How will I ever raise my kits without you?" Moss meowed, her ears drooping. "I will never forget you, Moss. you are the only one I can really get along with." Riverpuddle twitched his tail stepping closer to Moss and the kits. Moss shredded a tear and smiled again. "I know you won't Riverpuddle. Hey..." Moss looked at the youngest she kit. "She looks like you, doesn't she?" "She does." Riverpuddle's tail twitched and also looks at the youngest she kit. "She has your eyes." Moss looked at Riverpuddle and smiled. "She did not open them yet though!" The two chuckled together. Riverpuddle sat down near Moss. "I'm really going to miss you. even if I find another cat, she won't be the same." Moss face lighted up with hope. "Its okay if you find another cat to mate with. we were not destined to be mates after all." Moss replied and the two chucked again. Moss places her paw on Riverpuddle's. "It's time for you to go now right...?" Riverpuddle looks down at the kits and back to Moss. "Yes." He replied, his eyes filling with tears. Moss looked back at him and licked him on the cheek. "I will always remember you Riverpuddle." Moss stopped, tears streaming down her face. "In honor of you, I will name this kit, Puddle." Riverpuddle's eyes were wet and licked Moss for the last time. "I will always love you too, Moss." Riverpuddle walked close to the open window and looked back at Moss. "Bye Riverpuddle...." Riverpuddle waved back at Moss, tears flooding his eyes. he hopped out the window and Moss looked back at Pebble. "Don't worry sweetie." Moss's eyes soaked with tears. "Mommy's here, and she will protect you from everything." END =3
