I am in a void of nothing when I feel something drop on top of me. I shift up into a sitting position with a startled gasp. "Good Morning, sweetness!" A teasingly, charming voice says. I look over and spot Moon. Her fur brushing over her eyes as she lowers her ears and smiles with her teethy grin. I yawn, and shuffle to lay beside her. I curl around her, basically laying in her paws. "Did you pounce on me?" I ask, as I lap her cheek. She shrugs, and leans into me. "Maybe." I laugh and curl into her fluffy chest. Her fur is warm and it soothes me to the point were I almost fall asleep. She stands and I huff but stand as well. ~ Late Day ~ I reach the river almost as the sun begins to set. I spot the shadows of fish swimming around in the pools of water. My tails flick and my massive ears lower on my head. I lean over the edge and wait. 1. 2. 3. Boom! I slap into the water and grip a fish in my jaws before splashing back onto the shore and killing it swiftly. I hear a laugh and turn. My maroon eyes meet those of Moon as she spots me, sopping wet, with a fish in my jaws. She glances past me as she swims to my side of the shore. But she doesn't look at me, she looks behind me. I look behind me confused and sit as she does the same. "It's beautiful." She says. She is watching the sunset. I smile and twine my tails with her single tail. She looks at me, and stares up into my eyes. My breath catches as I meet her beautiful gaze. How was I so lucky to fall for such a beautiful creature? I wasn't sure, and I don't think I would ever be sure. She searched my eyes before leaning under my chin and into my chest with a sigh. "Every time I see a sunset, I am reminded of you." I laugh. "Well my name is Lesbian Sunsets." "Not because of your name." She whispers. "Then why?" I ask, concerned. "Because you mirror its beauty. But your ten times better. Because your here with me." She then looks back up into my eyes with a small smile. Tears fill my eyes. "I'm so lucky to have you, Moon." I lean into her as she leans into me. I lap her cheek and we stand there like that until the sun rises the next day. Peacefully leaning into each other. _____________________________________________ Authors Note: I don't really love how this turned out, but it seems pretty good. Ngl I am debating my sexuality, (which is currently straight) because I think I'm attracted to both males and females. But I'm not sure yet. Anyway- this was fun to write and I love the character design of Lesbian Sunsets. Although if I win her I might change her name to just Sunsets, and she might have three tails that way I can make a braid design, cuz I think that would look so cute.
