*MINOR BL00D WARNING!!!* So first I did some halter training with Milky Way and when we finished he still seemed to have a ton of energy so I let him out in the paddock instead of putting him back in his stall. Then I decided to go on a trail ride with Cookie so I groomed her in her stall and put her in the wash pit so I could tack her up. I went to get her tack and Riley offered to help me tack her up. I rode Cookie along the beach and the trail, it was the perfect day for it too! We kept riding until we made it to the mountains but when we made it there we heard some distressed neighing so we followed the noise. As expected we found horses! There was an entire family! But the mare was covered in scratches and bl00d!! They looked like marks from a lion mountain!! The stallion and foal didn't seem to have any scratches but the entire family seemed frightened and scared especially the little foal!! I knew I couldn't leave them like this so I slowly and carefully dismounted Cookie with halters and ropes. I slowly and cautiously walked toward them gently I put on the halter and made sure it was loose enough for them to feel comfortable. I brought them all back to Willow Wood Stables and put them in a paddock. I got Riley to help me wipe off the mare's scratches though some of them were pretty deep so I'm going to find a vet soon. I left them all there so I could put away Cookie but I'll probably spend most of the day there watching over them after I call a vet.
