(note: this is written kinda weirdly and detailed sorry LOL i have a tl;dr idk i think was tryna be fancy) ───── ⚓ ───── ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ───── Ⅰ. WANDERLUST Jorden always wondered what it would be like without easy food and a warm home. Born long after Yoro and Belle left the comfort of their kittypet lives, they grew up listening to stories about their older brother. Their parents would feed them rich stories of a wild and dangerous life beyond the fence. About the four clans that feasted on bones and the rogues and loners that fend for themselves. These were supposed to be bedtime stories meant to teach kittens a lesson but it did the opposite for Jordan. Now fired with a drive to find their long-lost brother, they swore to themselves that they'll find him and that they'll join the clans. Yet when word hit that the clans left the territories on boats, never to be seen again, Jordan lost hope. How were they supposed to find Yoro when he was across the sea? (TL;DR: Yoro and Belle are George and Amy's parents. After Yoro ran off, his parents had another litter, Jordan being one of the younger siblings. Their parents told them about Yoro's dreams and the clans. This inspired Jordan to find Yoro and join the clans. When they learned that the clans moved to a new territory, they lost hope.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ───── Ⅱ. SEAFARER Just because it would be difficult didn't mean it would be impossible. For weeks on end, Jordan brainstormed ideas on how they could get to the clans. Maybe they could swim to their new territories! Or make a makeshift boat! Whatever it took, they'll make it work. Their chance finally came when they heard that a local ship crew was in search of a ship cat to call their own. When they came to visit the kittens available for adoption, Jorden leaped into their arms, trailing them wherever they went. The crew agreed amongst themselves that this was the perfect cat. Jordan's owners finalized the documents and soon enough, they found themself wandering about on a ship. Beginning a new chapter of their life, Jordan decided to rename themselves to Neptune, the Roman God of the Sea. Sea life was much more different than what Neptune was expecting. Rainy days, rock grounds, this was terrible compared to their kittypet life! Maybe, just maybe, they made the wrong decision. Rest assured their worries soon wash away as they adjusted to their new life. Over the moons, as Neptune's crew landed on various islands and they met other ship cats and loners, Neptune began to piece together rumors. From what they could gather, there was a huge group of cats traveling on some boat moons ago! This must be the clans, wasn't it? However, most never saw them again. A ship cat about Neptune's age did though. He confirmed that he witness loads of cats dock at a place called "The Vast Planes". After hearing about Neptune's mission, he was struck with such admiration that he offered to help Jorden find this territory. Bidding his farewells to his family, Nautilus traded one ship for another and joined Neptune on theirs. With time, Neptune fell for Nautilus's charms. Who wouldn't be? Nautilus was bold and adventurous, with a love for the sea. But he was also kind to those in need, he never hesitate to lend a paw. Confessing their feelings to Nautilus, he happily reciprocated and the two became mates. Neptune gifted Nautilus a shell shard necklace and Nautilus gave a fishhook earring. Soon enough, the pair had a litter of two. Neptune and Nautilus wouldn't raise their children without a dash of excitement. Throughout their childhoods, the parents taught their little sailors the ropes of living at sea. They showed them skills like hunting and defense. They taught them to utilize their resources and how to slip out of trouble with a silver tongue. Everything they learned from the ships, they pass down to their kids. They also told them stories of the clans, installing wonder into their children. What wonders did these clans had to offer? (TL;DR: A ship crew adopts Jorden. They rename themself to Neptune. As they got used to living on a boat, they ask other ship cats about the clans. They were able to figure out that the clans were now living on The Vast Planes. Meanwhile, they became mates with a cat named Nautilus and had children. They passed down stories about the clans, Yoro, and their cousins to those children.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ───── Ⅲ . NEW HORIZONS By the time their children had grown, their ship finally landed on The Vast Planes. This was the one, the place where Neptune vowed to find all those years ago! It was no easy task searching for this home. Thanks to their ship crew, who loved them so dearly, and Nautilus, their seafaring partner forever, Neptune could finally reunite with Yoro. This was supposed to be a happy moment, shouldn't it be? When they stepped off their ship for perhaps the final time, Neptune couldn't help but feel a stab of sadness and guilt. +
+ Something didn't feel right. For days, they pondered on what it could be. Then it hit them. This wasn't their destiny. Time at sea had bonded them to their ship life. From the familiar sea salt scent to the wind in their fur and the thrill of adventure, Neptune grew used to it all. To join the clans was to leave it all behind, and that was simply too much to ask for of Neptune. They're content with the life they've built and the tales they've lived. Neptune wasn't the same cat they were sixty or so moons ago. Jordan, the mewling little kitten with stars in their eyes, and Neptune, the tough cat that has seen their fair share of storms, were nothing alike. Cats change and grow. Their visions of what they want in life grow alongside them. Nothing ever stays the same. Like the sea, things Sometimes what you wanted isn't what you needed. Neptune knew they were meant to be in the sea. With a relieved sigh, they announced they weren't leaving the ships. Not now, not ever. Then so it is then. Neptune will never meet their clan family. But wait! Sparks glittered in their eyes and their children beg to let them search for their family. They've come so far now, they weren't about to let Neptune's efforts go to waste! Instead of Neptune, they would go in their place, to reunite with their long-lost family once more. Neptune loved their children dearly. Forever, they would cherish them. And forever, they would miss them. They knew while they would never leave sea life, it wasn't for everyone. They weren't going to hold their children back, especially since it was the opposite of what they had taught them. Didn't their own parents allow them to do the same when they left home? Teary-eyed, Neptune, and Nautilus wished their kits bon voyage. Together they watched as their children depart into the unknown. Now, their fate rests in your hands. Stranded in a strange new world with only the names of their family, these siblings will spend the first few moons searching and asking, before eventually stumbling onto RiverClan. There, they will learn Yoro and Belle died long ago and now all that remains of their legacy is Sea-snakeshiver and Sealscuttle. They'll come to know the recently-passed Sealscuttle adopted a child named Geodecrackle who will go on to adopt a litter of two, named Heritagekit and Legacykit. Along with Geodecrackle, Sealscuttle, and Sea-snakeshiver took in Sparrowcheep and Raven___. Sea-snakeshiver will have taken Sea-lionkit as his own around this time as well. With interesting family ties, a unique backstory, and stunning designs, this is a wonderful opportunity if you want a fresh beginning in RiverClan whether it be newcomers or veterans.
