I didn't use this reference, but in my head, i thought the skirt looked like klee's? it actually didn't, so idk why i thought that hehe 5. color mock-up to check balance 6. clean-up sketch 7. turned opacity down 8. lineart 9. my lineart brush (i also use it for all my shading) 10. blocking the silhouette, so i have a guide to trim my colors with 11. flat colors (trimmed using the magic wand tool on my grey guide) 12. starting the skin. A slight airbrush of shadow 13. first skin shadow 14. second skin shadow 15. blush 16. *very* subtle glow layer, airbrushed in the center of the face to add life and cuteness 17. glow highlights on the nose and ears 18. shading on the mouth 19. starting the hair. A slight airbrush of shadow across the bangs, under the hat, and in the middle of the twintails 20. on the bangs, up and down strokes that are blended on the bottom. on the twintails, the same but with swirls 21. repeat of 20, but darker and thinner 22. first shadow 23. second shadow 24. highlights 25. highlight brushes. 26. glow airbrush to make the highlights even shinier 27. i shade each color of clothing separately, but they follow the same process, so i've shown them together. first shadows. 28. second shadows 29. icing, and third shadows on the skirt 30. highlights ^w^ 31. the shadow from the hat that i forgot aslkdfhljkd >///< 32. glasses 33. fire, and magic sprinkle's glow 34. a bit of lineart coloring to soften the face 35. background and shadow 36.
