Boom- I have finished! The color pallete gave me a lot to work with. I also appreciate the additional outfits and took lots of inspiration from them. More on the art aspect, I went simple with lineart and layer blend modes for shading and lighting. Multiply with blue and orange for shadows. Pink on soft light for subtle lighting. I used a pink overlay layer in the end so there are 2 versions with and without it. The background is random shapes with textures inside. For the design I have a slide where i tinted certain images red, orange, and yellow. Red means I directly took loads of inspo. Orange means I took some design aspects but not very much. Yellow means I took little to no inspo from the images. I used the hair clips and hair color from the top middle image. I took the cat’s raincoat from the middle image. I directly took the shoes from the bottom left and implemented the bottom middle mochi throughout the design, including the earrings. I took the umbrella from the bottom right, though I significantly changed the inner design of it. I did use the color pallete from the top left image. Overall, made the character cutesy and had fun. Not used to character designing but I wanna get used to it soon, so ty for the opportunity to do so here.
