OMG YOU DON'T KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING TO BUY THIS it was mostly second thinking whether or not i should spend 13 dollars to buy an app lol i got it 2 days ago and my screen time average per day went up by like 40% lol before i actually bought it i would spend hours researching whether it was worth it or not, art people have made with procreate, the tools it comes with, etc PLEASE DO NOT STEAL MY ART faq (my irl friends and brothers) Q: what do you draw with A: a stylus :D not an apple pencil with pressure sensitivity or magnetic charge but it works well Q: how did you get the app A: downloaded it on the app store ;-; my mom had to figure out all the parental controls around 'making purchases' and that took like, an hour lol Q: why did you block out your other art A: many reasons, like art theft (even tho no one wants my art :p) and also they're kinda mid so no one can see >:) Q: r u good at drawing -my brother -_- A: that's a weird question. Q: fav brush? A: hmm, maybe 'broken light'
THE ACTUAL RATING: I'd say a solid 9/10! It's pretty easy to use, and has a massive tool/brush/effect library with water brushes, tree bark brushes, even OLD SKIN brushes. The amount of layers it can hold depends on the size of the canvas, but it's like, 100 layers soooooo... but I haven't experimented with layers much cause I don't really use them. I haven't really used Animation Assist yet, but it seems pretty darn cool! Page assist is also very useful for making sketchbooks and comics. The 'grouping' for both assist tools was kind of confusing at first, but I think I understand now. IT HAS A TEXT TOOL WITH LOTS O FONTS YAY The ColorDrop (fill) tool is very unique... took me a few tutorials to find it xD My only complaint is the lack of organization. if you have (NOT ME YET) like, 100 different pieces of art, you can easily lose track of one. You can put your art in stacks, but that's kind of it. There's no search tool, no 'favorite' button, none of that. You can't even mark a brush as a favorite, and with 200+ of them, sometimes you forget which group, for example, the 'flowing hair' brush is in. Other than that, I think it's a great app for both beginning and advanced artists! Procreate even has tutorials if you're just getting started on your art journey. I completely recommend it :) It's only $12.99 (where i am) and available in the App Store. (and people who are writing a scratch comic, this app is perfect for you!)
