below - something is below me below the floorboards and it is crying i wish to help it but i do not know how it is laced into the wood it is worms it is termites it is creaking it is darkness it is in my shadow and it is crying and it is driving me mad i want to tear apart the floor and i want to drag it out just stop crying i will say and i will cry and i will be alone there is nothing below me there cannot be anything i am imagining it there is no crying underneath the floorboards there is nothing staring at me from my shadow there is nothing i am alone there is something below the floorboards and it is crying and i can hear it but no one else can and i am going mad it screams my name it is not a word but i know it is mine and it is beckoning but i do not know where it is it is crying and i cannot think i cannot breathe i want to find it i want to join it i want to be it but i cannot for i cannot find the thing crying my name underneath my floorboards.
