[WARNING - OPERATION: REDSHIFT IS CLASSIFIED LEVEL 5] [UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS WILL LEAD TO TERMINATION] [Operation: REDSHIFT - Mission Log I] Midnight. June 23rd, 2034. Mobile Task Force Zeta-9 is on its way to the newly discovered SCP-8345. Their mission: recover something known as 'the Herald' from the depths of the anomalous abandoned bunker. Alive or dead, Zeta-9 must find the Herald, or all will be lost. Z-9 ONE: This is Zeta-9 commander, approaching 8345 entrance. SITE-47 COMMAND: Copy that. You are clear to proceed inside. Z-9 ONE: Moving in now. [One steps forward and opens the door on what appears to be a tiny room in the middle of the forest, revealing a staircase. They begin to walk down the stairs, the rest of Z-9 close behind them.] Z-9 FIVE: This place always gives me the creeps every time I come here. Z-9 FOUR: Isn't that your job, Five? Z-9 FIVE: ...yeah, it is. [The team descends the stairs into a large, empty room.] Z-9 ONE: To the left. [The team heads into a corridor to the left of the entrance.] [Suddenly, everything flashes white for a fraction of a second, temporarily blinding all the Z-9 members.] Z-9 TWO: Aah! SITE-47 COMMAND: Zeta-9, report! Z-9 FOUR: Can't tell what hit us! Z-9 THREE: Some kind of flashbang. Z-9 ONE: Zeta-9, move! On the double! [The team begins to run down the corridor, towards what seems to be a locked door at the end.] Z-9 ONE: Five, break that door down. Z-9 FIVE: Gladly, sir. [Five pulls out a grenade and throws it. It explodes, along with the door.] [The team advances inside. Two begins to walk forward, then stops dead in their tracks, staring at some writing on the floor.] Z-9 ONE: Two? [Two gestures to the writing.] [One walks over, and also abruptly stops.] Z-9 ONE: Oh... no. Not this. [On the ground, scribbled messily in white chalk, is the phrase 'What Happened to Site-13?'] Z-9 ONE: Zeta-9, back to the entrance! On the double! [The team spins and begins to run back the way they came.] [They arrive at the broken door, just to see that instead of the entrance room on the other side, there is a row of barred cells.] Z-9 THREE: We're too late. Z-9 ONE: Command? Can you hear me? Z-9 ONE: Hello? Z-9 FOUR: One. Z-9 ONE: Command, come in. Z-9 FOUR: One, behind you!
