Frayromantic (also known as ignotaromantic) is a romantic orientation on the aromantic spectrum. It is defined as when someone only experiences romantic attraction towards those that they are not deeply connected with, and lose that attraction as they get to know the individuals. Frayromantic is often described as being "the opposite of demiromantic," where romantic attraction only appears once a bond is formed. For an individual who experiences frayromantic attraction leading into demiromantic attraction, the term vallisromantic may be appropriate. Frayromantic can be a romantic orientation on its own or can combined with other orientations. For example, one could be frayromantic and homoromantic, meaning that when one does experience romantic attraction it's only towards individuals of the same gender.
