Welcome to my little 2 player boxing game! This game isn't finished yet. The premise should be pretty obvious; knock down your opponent with your punches so that they can't get back up before the count of 10! In the final game, there will be a total of 3 rounds of 2 minutes each before decision takes place, and three knockdowns on one of the players in a single round nets a TKO. If you can't get back up before the count of 10 during a knockdown, you'll be KO'd. In this demo version, a single round is present which goes on until one of the boxers are KO'd. To move around, use WASD for player 1 and the arrow keys for player 2. Each punch has their own pros and cons: Jab (E for player 1, I for player 2) - this move comes out instantly, has a low cooldown and drains very little stamina, but it has low damage and low range. It can be very good for essentially stalling your opponent in place with the 0.5 second stun-on-hit mechanic. Hook (R for player 1, O for player 2) - this move actually takes a bit of time from when inputted to actually have a hitbox, but it still comes out fast, has a low cooldown, decent damage and high range. There is hardly any weakness this punch has. Uppercut (T for player 1, P for player 2) - this is notable for its extremely high damage output, however it does drain a lot of stamina and has a long windup and cooldown. Stamina will affect how fast you can move around and the amount of time it takes after a move for another one to be released.
If you have any questions, please read this and the instructions before commenting to ask. - In case you are wondering, NO, this is not that "secret" project I've been teasing. - To get up from a knockdown, repeatedly tap the key used for jabbing (E for player 1, I for player 2). You will get up once your "get up-o-meter" exceeds 300. - Every time you get knocked down will make it harder to get up from subsequent knockdowns, and your refills decrease with every knockdown. - The music used is from Punch Out!! for the Wii, more specifically the minor circuit fighting and knockdown themes.
