My brother wanted me to draw him an axolotl, which was apparently the push I needed to actually fully finish a drawing. I tried adding shines and lighting separately, and shifted my shading and lighting into blues and yellows rather than blacks and whites, and it turned out amazingly! I’m really happy with this. I think I might make it into a sticker if I can find somewhere that does that.
I was originally going to give it freckle spots, more like real axolotls have, but my brother didn’t like how the sketch looked so I ended up going more stylized. I think I like this better though. Scratch makes the shines look harsher than they do in my drawing program for some reason. It’s weird, but I can’t be bothered to try and fix it.
