Why couldn't he be called Bob? Or Timmy, he looks like a Timmy, but Arnold... Jk Arnold's a cool name B)
UPDATE: I have seen from various other sources that scratch cat is simply called scratch cat or scratchy, this is the only instance where i found the name to be Arnold :) My source of info (scroll down a bit and you'll see the text in the project): https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/581091/#:~:text=The%20oldest%20user%20on%20Scratch,but%20that%20was%20a%20test.&text=But%20this%20leaves%20us%20with,was%20deleted%20or%20either%20banned.&text=Scratch%20launched%20in%20May%20of%202007%20as%20a%20downloadable%20desktop%20application. oof that's long I didn't realise, but yes I'm digging into scratch's dark history Lol I'm sure scratch has no dark secrets Or maybe it does...
