Kit: Sunrise Why do I want them?: Well, I really want to join Thrive, and when I saw these kits, I just really liked the idea of playing a loner. There’s more freedom, and as I looked more, I could tell that this was a very special litter. I knew immediately that Sunrise was the kit I wanted, as the sun inspires me so much, and it’s also in my username. Also, as I delved further into Sunrise, forming a personality, it became a sort of vent, letting all my hate about society build them. Sexuality: Sunrise uses the label of bi-curious for a while, after identifying as heterosexual. She eventually realised that she’s lesbian. Even though she’s cassgender, she still considers herself lesbian, as she also considers herself female. It’s all very confusing. Pronouns: Sunrise doesn’t really have time for pronouns, and regards them as a waste of time. They don’t have anything against LGBTQ+, they just don’t get why you would spend so much time finding a label, and why should it matter what pronouns you use? Because of this, she’s just fine with whatever you throw at her. As she gets older, she tries to mirror pronouns, but in the end she just decides that that’s too stressful. So she uses whichever pronouns feel most suitable. She/her is currently her favourite though. She is cassgender. Personality: Sunrise is adventurous, rebellious and fun loving. They love freedom, and believe strongly in equal rights. They will not take any homophobia, transphobia, racism, etc. They embrace opportunities, and strive for happiness. Sunrise requires lots of stimulation, and will quickly get bored of activities. Sunrise is very optimistic, and excitable, never sitting or standing still. They are very cheerful, and open, but terrible at keeping secrets. Sunrise is a very outgoing cat, loving to stand out, and make friends. They do struggle with being serious though, and are very happy-go-lucky. They can be a bit loud, and in your face, but also charismatic and playful. They’re very bouncy and bubbly. When you first meet them, they can seem very hyper, and too optimistic. They can be a bit annoying, because it takes a lot for them to care. They brush off insults easily, and this can be a bit annoying. However, they know this, and although they’re pretty cheerful all around, you can sometimes see a split second of self-doubt, and worry that people don’t like them. A quirk of theirs is that they talk very quickly, as their words have to keep up with their thoughts. On top of this, they can change the topic very quickly. Sunrise is however, not very good at social cues. They’re a pretty terrible listener, and interrupt people at the least convenient moments. They don’t mean to, it’s just that they don’t really get it. Unspoken social rules as well they can be a but oblivious about too. As you can see, when you look at them from far away, they can seem a bit annoying. But if you get to know them, you’ll notice that they do try hard with friends, and that they’re very earnest. They care a lot, and love hugs. They’ll always be there for you, even if everyone else considers you as a social outcast. They’re really loyal, if not clumsy and socially strange. As you can see, Sunrise many quirks, flaws, and positive traits. And this is a great thing! We need these to be good people, and without flaws, and without failure, we can’t learn. I think that Sunrise teaches a valuable lesson about society. We don’t need to comply to their rules, and it’s ok to be different. Sometimes, different is better. Disabilities/disorders: Sunrise has ADHD. This stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
