stop faking disorders !! <333333 a rant by @satxurn ●●● i dont know how many of you reading this have come across disorders/depression fakers on scratch. but i think that its still a huge issue. faking depression/disorders is when somebody pretends to have a disorder for the attention of others. why is this harmful? 1. it makes people who actually have depression/disorders/etc. feel like the things they're struggling with are just things to be tossed around on the internet for fun. they can feel like they dont need/shouldn't ask for help, because people will just say its for 'attention' 2. again, people who actually have disorders can be told that their 'faking it' for 'attention'. just the other day, i saw a video in which, the person making the video just happened to tic during the video, and ALL the comments were just 'oh stop faking it' or 'stop faking tics' and stuff like that, when, guess what? the person ACTUALLY HAD nervous tics! they later took the video down bc they were getting so much hate. they took down the video bc of all the hate. - sorry this was soooo short! <3 brynn, out. © @satxurn 2023
