The 1874 season was one of the most damaging season to go down in history, with hurricane three scraping the coast as a category 1/2 it causing over 1 billion dollars, and hurricane two caused upwards of 600 million dollars as it did what hurricane three did mear days earlier. Hurricane One made landfall near the boom town of sharkston, causing over 1 billion dollars in damage as it slowly approached the town.
