Put in values for X Y and Z in three different equations and you will receive a solution...or an error message. It works unless any x's have the same value. Or y's...or z's. I'm working on fixing that but otherwise it should give you accurate values. Example: 2x+3y+z=13 X1=2 Y1=3 Z1=1 =1=13 5x-2y-4z=7 X2=5 Y2=-2 Z2=-4 =2=7 4x+5y+3z=25 X3=4 Y3=5 Z3=3 =3=25 Solution is (3,2,1) You can use page 180 of the Prentice Hall Algebra 2 textbook for more examples if you have it.
This project uses matrices to solve systems of equations with three variables. Thank you to my math teacher for showing me the basic algorithm. You know who you are. Song is Labyrinth by Ambient.
