As of July 31, mouse and mobile play are fully integrated into the game. During normal gameplay, press any key on the keyboard to withdraw. Press any key again to come out of your Koopa shell. While withdrawn in your shell, you are impervious to the Mario Brothers’ fireballs, but you also can't eat health-restoring Turtley Leaves. Use the right / D and left / A keys to choose your mode at the start, then press Spacebar to confirm. You can jump to story mode's different levels with the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 keys at the mode select screen. It's recommended you don't do this if you haven't seen the events prior to that story level yet. Press the green flag to go back to mode select. The mechanics are explained in the Story Mode.
