Edit 11/9/15 See? No one looks at anything I post unless I add art to it or spend hours making the thumbnail look nice. I'm sick of it to be honest. :/ I know that no one is probably going to want to look at this but I wanted to share a sneak peek of a scene from my webcomic. I'm not going to put a picture/music on this project because I'm lazy. Deal with it.
Scene: The sound of explosions and crackling fire carried on loudly although the howling screams had faded away. Cero stood on the cliff face as still as stone, not hearing the noise. His mind was only fixed on one thing, the squirming kitten in his grip. It mewled, it’s eyes scrunched shut and fur fluffed against the mountain’s chill air. A sweet chocolate smell radiated from its fluffy coat and for a moment he felt a warmth pass through him. Cero shivered and clenched its neck scruff tighter. The kitten mewled loudly again, its feet kicking at the air. It didn’t know it was hanging over a cliff, it’s life relying on his decisions. A sudden clarity flashed across his consciousness. “Why am I doing this?” He felt more than saw the presence suddenly floating next to his head. Out of the corner of his eyes appeared his companion’s ever present grin and baleful yellow eyes. “What's wrong Cero?” came the ever smooth voice, with its usual charm and malice. Cero stared blankly ahead at the kitten, quickly forgetting what he had been thinking about before. “N-nothing.” Cero replied in a hollow voice. His eyes tightened and the thought of just dropping the kitten appeared in his mind. It’s family was already dead and it wouldn’t survive long… Cero closed his eyes and his hand released the kitten’s scruff. A cry split the air in front of him and when he opened his eyes the kitten was gone. Most likely tumbling through the air until it... Cero winced and turned around, slowly walking away from the cliff face. His face remained frozen in a blank expression as he walked. His companion floated beside him, matching Cero’s pace. “Throwing a kitten off a cliff? I can’t believe you’ve become so heartless Cero.” Cero kept walking. “No wonder no one likes you.”
