I'm Violet! ❞ ⌚Jul. 2, 2023 ┊i n f o ⎙ I read this book throughout the month of June with my best friend, and it was so good! however, I had to wait 400 pages for the proposal >:( ┊b a s i c f a c t s title: Emma author: Jane Austen publication: 1815 genre: romance, drama, + literary fiction ┊s u m m a r y "Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and rich..." grew up without a care in the world. she enjoyed making matches, and one day befriends a poor girl named Harriet Smith, intending a match between her and Mr. Elton. things take a turn when Mr. Frank Churchill comes and Mr. Knightley seems to be envious. Emma begins to question her motives and undergoes great character development. 'Emma' is a timeless classic that lovers of Jane Austen most definitely recommend. ┊r a t i n g ★★★★★ this is so far my second favourite Jane Austen book! it has a lot of pages, and it can be a bit of a slow read, but I absolutely adore it :)
