Not so Merry Christmas: Hey! Welcome to my first fanfiction! (That is purely gonna be made by me and not a collab!) So i got this idea from wondering what the Avengers were doing during Christmas in the Blip. This is purely fictional meaning that this is from my imagination and not really what happend. All the characters belong to Marvel expect for May, Tom and Amy. Huge credit to Winter (@-lacepearls) for motivating me through her amazing fanfic. Hope you enjoy! Also make sure to check out hers! :) Late December 2020: It.... was Christmas, again. Ironically, the streets of New York didn’t seem to scream “Christmas”. At least not in the eyes of May Fury. Sure, there was a humungous Christmas tree to set up at Rockfeller Center, but even though people or at least what’s left of them was trying to make it feel like Christmas, It still didn’t to May. On the not so bright side, she was having good sleeps lately since New York wasn’t buzzing like usual, but they weren’t that good as before. It was that same fact she hesitated to get up one week from Christmas Eve. “No……” May muttered as her alarm clock buzzed. Finally, after summoning enough strength, she got up. Just as she got up, a knock was on her door. “C-come in.” May said groggily. A blonde-haired man with blue eyes slowly opened the door. “H-hey Steve.” May said rubbing the sleepiness out of her eyes. “Hey May, had a another good sleep?” Steve asked, his eyes glittering from the morning sun. “Yeah, but it never gets out, Steve, no offense.” May said leaning on the wall. Steve knew what May was talking about. He had been trying to lift up people’s spirits since the Blip. So much that May nicknamed him “Steve the Therapist”. “Want some breakfast?” Steve asked trying to fix May’s sad look. May looked up, “Sure”. The duo then headed down the stairs to see Natasha cooking pancakes. “Morning.” Nat smiled at Steve and May. “Ooh, pancakes? Yum! Any syrup?” May asked as she looked at the pan. “Yeah, over there in the cupboard.” Nat gestured to a cupboard on her left. May rushed to the cupboard and opened it and grabbed the syrup. May then rushed to the table and got her pancake from Nat. “So, any plans for today?” Steve asked as he looked at the two girls. “I’m going to shop later, anyone wanna tag along?” May replied with an attempted enthusiastic smile. “Sure, I’ll come. Got nothing to do later anyway.” Nat smiled at her friend. May nodded and cut her pancake. “I guess i’ll be here.” Steve grinned followed by two laughs from May and Nat. “Well, i’m gonna go take a walk now. See you guys!” May said taking her dish to the sink. Nat followed and did the same. May then walked out of the pleasant looking facility into the wide open space of New York. “I wonder, how Tom and Amy’s doing.” May sighed. She, Tom, and Amy were the only ones out of her family that survived the Blip, or at least that’s how everyone started calling it. She ran her fingers through her hair. So much complicated thoughts wrapped around her head. She looked up at the bright, blue sky. How can the sky be so bright in the darkest times? May thought and had a flashback of when she was little and asked the very same question. 11-year old May stormed in her siblings room crying. “May, what’s wrong?” Tom asked from the comfort of his own bed. “Kiyo died! All because i couldn’t find the time to feed him!” May exclaimed crying her eyes out. Agent Hill then came in after all the noise. “May? Something wrong?” Agent Hill asked nearing May. “K-Kiyo died because i couldn’t feed him.” May said quietly. “Oh, well, we can set a little funeral for him later.” Agent Hill hugged May who tried desperately to stop crying. A little while later Agent Hill, May, Amy and Tom sat on the grass facing a small box in which there were letters that said: “In loving memory of Kiyo Fury, who died today, may he rest in peace”. After the funeral, May still sobbed at the small coffin in which her dearly departed cat lay. Agent Hill walked towards her. “Hey, don’t cry.” Agent Hill said hugging her. May looked up at the sky. “A-Agent Hill, why is the sky so blue and bright on a sad day?” May asked trying very desperately to not cry. “That’s just the way the sky is, May, even when it’s dark, there is always something shining bright for you like the sky.” Agent Hill said to May as they were joined by Tom and Amy. There’s always something shining bright for you….. Suddenly, May was awoken from her thoughts by a piercing scream.
