The cat will follow your mouse y, but not x, you have 3 lives to catch all the muffins, if a muffin goes across the screen you lose a life, if you lose all three lives, you die. You may realize a portal when you get farther into the game, that's the portal to color mayhem, where every color is just messed up, and the sound effects change (except the sound effect when you lose a life). :)
