On the 28th June 2023, the Cintendo eShop officially made it's closure on the NiiU and 4DS. It is no longer possible to purchase or download any new games, only already-owned games can be redownloaded. We gather here today, at the Cemetery Of Discontinued Virtual Experiences, to commemorate the loss of a major, iconic part of Cintendo's NiiU/4DS era. The Twist eShop must now continue their striking legacy alone... Thank you so much a-for-to selling your games. ⚠️ 1. Remember REMIX ETIQUETTE: Notify people in the comments before starting a remix so people know not to accidentally split the remix tree's branches. If you don't intend to make a new remix branch, don't remix if someone's already commented that they're remixing. ☢️ 2. Even if the deceased is a software instead of a person, this is still a funeral, so PLEASE be respectful - don't stand on the grave dirt, celebrate the demise, vandalise the grave, or otherwise treat this as a joke. If one of your characters does, you MUST have a second character stop them - they shouldn't get away with it. ☢️ 3. DO NOT BREAK THE SCRATCH COMMUNITY GUIDELINES, so nothing too scary, gory, vulgar, or otherwise innapropriate! ⚠️ 4. Don't add or remove anyone from the breaking-rules list without TiffyVoid’s permission. ⚠️ 5. Don't delete any of these rules or instructions or completely change the project's title. 6. Don't delete or destructively modify anything you didn't make, unless to fix glitches, errors, or rule-breaks, or to remove unused scripts. ❓ 7. Please don't make your characters overly large; that'd waste space that could be used for more characters. It's recommended you keep larger characters nearer to the top so they block less ground. 8. You can add more music tracks, as long as they suit the mood of the project (sombre & nostalgic) but don't delete any unless they break the SCG or are too cheerful for this project's mood. Please note that this project doesn't have a music-loop system or audio-exemption lists yet. 9. Don't delete any characters or objects off the thumbnail (unless they break the rules) or completely change it altogether. ❓ 10. Anyone on the breaking-rules list can add new rules if needed. Remember to add them to both the thumbnail's RULE RECAP comment and the Instructions. Make sure you double-check these rules in the thumbnail just before you share the project. Don't let your remix be UNOFFICIALIZED by broken rules, or else it'll likely be abandoned.
Alright, I know I don't usually make AY-funerals, but y'see, I originally intended to make a different AY with the same topic earlier on which counted down live to the day of the shop's closures. Due to being preoccupied with a different, more major project (which was originally intended to release TOMORROW), I had no time, until now when I decided to take a break from said project. By then, the countdown wouldn't have lasted very long, thus I decided to do this instead.
