Tap/Click/Press Space to switch to the next image. The first slide is the most accurate design for my character. The character has a scarf instead of just a cloth around their neck, however. And the bandage isn’t really supposed to be there, I added it because it looks just cool lol. The first slide is also made by a character creator website, the other two slides are my own art. Backstory: Veil, like most of the other Vessels, was born into the Abyss with their other siblings and tried to climb out of the vast pit. They had managed to nearly reach the top of the cliff by their own. While they were climbing however, what would grow up to be the Hollow Knight accidentally used them as a stepping stone to climb out, causing them for fall back down into the Abyss. Veil had fortunately survived with great injuries, but they had developed a deep, hidden hatred for the Pure Vessel. They managed to escape through a hidden path into Deepnest, but out of bad luck they somehow found themselves in Nosk’s lair. Using a nail from the previous vessel before them, Veil managed to defeat the shapeshifter, again almost dying as a result. Veil then seeked to replace the Hollow Knight, not only to make their father proud but also out of vengeance against the Pure Vessel, convincing themself that they would be able to contain the infection despite their impurity.
Truth, Beauty and Hatred (Hollow Knight: Hidden Dreams) by Christopher Larkin Veil’s height as a child would be around 2-3 feet tall, but in adult form they are around 10 feet tall. Preteen might be 5 feet tall, and Teen would be maybe 7-8 feet tall. -Veil in RPs would usually start off in their child form unless I feel like doing otherwise or when someone asks. -Similar to a butterfly, the way Veil grows is through chrysalis, and they wrap themselves up in a void cocoon. Instead of just 1 phase, however, they will have to go through multiple phases. ((Example: the Knight went through 0 phases, Broken Vessel went through at least 1, and the Hollow Knight 4 or 5 times, maybe more.)) -In my headcanon, Vessels go through at least 4 phases, 5 if you count the egg phase. The phases are Child, Preteen, Teen, and Adult. ((Teen is where the horns, hands, and the head start to shift.)) -Veil has stubs for hands in child form and is able to hold onto objects by curling their arm around it. They grow actual hands when reaching the peak of their growth.
