When they were both teenagers, Nenna was known around the kingdom for her lavish beauty, and Cleopatra was jealous. She then put a poisonous snake in her bedroom while she was sleeping. Nenna was bitten and was about to die, but she was saved by the god Sekhmet and in order to save her life, she became a demigod. Sekhmet then told Nenna what Cleopatra had done, and she was enraged.
