I got this idea from my mom who was explaining why her fav book was her fav book. According to five websites, "The girl who drank the moon" fits into the young adult fantasy genre. This conclusion is based on the book following a teenage girl on an adventure in a magical world, with elements such as witches, dragons, and monsters. It also includes themes of love, loss, and coming of age, which are all common topics within the young adult fantasy genre. But some disagree and that is absolutely fine!
