Amethyst eyes opened, shimmering in her age. She was old now. She was soon going to die, just as Valkyrie did. She would miss her family here, in Snow and Spring. But also her pack, far away in Dusk Valley. She smiled, some teeth missing from her jaws. She was a very old wolf. Moonjewel stood, her muscles screaming in protest. The she-wolf limped out of the den, her eyes shimmering in the moonlight. She knew of the perfect place. Moon limped towards a small grove, where she settled down in the middle. She gave a soft whisper as she closed her eyes. "Soon may the black dove fly." Moonjewel's heart slowed to a stop, her body relaxing. She was freed. She stood in a dark cavern, her body still old, though without the pain. She stepped forward, visions flashing through her mind. Memories. She remembered the sorrow of losing her mate. She remembered Lapsis. She remembered it all. As she walked deeper into the gaping cave, she grew younger, until she was a puppy again. She bounded forward, her face in joy. She's completed her life. She was going to watch her descendants learn, and grow her legacy. The legacy of Moonjewel, Alpha of Fadedpack. She vanished into the darkness, feeling the beautiful release. Sure enough, the black dove flew the day she departed, showing all who knew her that she was freed. She was watching over them. The descendants of the dove all watch over the valleys. Some even say that those doves hold Moonjewel's spirit, making sure her family stays safe. Moon now runs free with Valkyrie, Lapsis, and all who she lost. Rest in peace, my love.
This is currently for WoDV, to show her friends that she has fallen. She died a loyal mother. She lives yet in Snow and Spring, but she will die there too later. Moonjewel was my very first character in any roleplay, and she meant so much to me. She led a pack, which I never thought she'd do. She brought me up from everything. I'll miss her, my girl. Though we'll never forget her. Many people loved her. She was just... Amazing. Her descendants know her stories. From the Rise of Thundeer to her final breath. They know it all. Goodnight, Moonjewel. Originally shared June 9th, 2023 I read it again, and it's so short, yet- I'm crying.
