Chapter 9: WARNING: VERY GORY SCENE AHEAD!!! Non-gory summary: Basically, Needlepaw totally demolished a really big tortoishell tom with amber eyes, and a lot of scars. He then found out from his mentor, a black she cat with red eyes named Robinwing, that the tom was the deputy of Thunderclan. He didn't know how he did it, just kinda, a rush of emotion guiding his paws. The next bit is the same but with a lot of... err... blood ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I stared in horror as blood seeped into the mud. **Hawkpaw's blood...** I thought to myself. Suddenly, I felt my paws guided by pure shock, rage, and horrified desparation. I lept onto the large, scarred tortoishell tom, glaring into his amber eyes. I dug my claws into his back, ripping them through his pelt. He screeched in horror and pain, leaping onto his back in an attempt to crush me beneath him, but I lept over him as he flipped over. I scraped his belly once he was flat on the ground, and sent him off yowling. I saw the other windclan cats staring at me. "H-how... You just... that was Specklewing... That was the Thunderclan deputy!", Robinwing, a black she-cat with red eyes, who was also my mentor, exclaimed. "I-it was...?" I mumbled. I was shocked. I'd had no idea I could do that. Robinwing padded up to me, sniffing my pelt in search for injury. "Nothing... How did you do that?!", She exclaimed. I just stared. After a little bit I just said, "It just... happened.". I suddenly felt a ripple of exaustion pass through my pelt. "Lets get you back to camp." Robinwing said, still bewildered. By then, everyone else had left.
Chapter 10: I stared as Hawkpaw's limp body was carried into camp. For a moment I thought she was dead. She wasn't too badly injured, minus the huge bite in her neck. So yeah, she was pretty badly injured. I ran to the medecine den, a few tail lengths away. I told Skyear about her, and he began pulling herbs from the groove in the far wall of the den. "Thank you for telling me", The white tom said calmly. "How are you staying so calm?!", I exclaimed. He seemed like this exact thing had happened before "If I were panicking, how would I help?", He replied. "Now, add extra moss and feathers to the nest over there", he told me, signaling with his tail to a nest on the right of the herb store. I had just started lining it with fresh bedding from the herb store when Hawkpaw was brought in by Oakface, a cream colored tom with green eyes, and Waspface, a jet black tom with amber eyes and a face covered in scars from a wasp attack. Hawkpaw was set down carefully in the nest I had made, and Skyear padded over. "Would you like to ask Leafstar if you could help me?", Skyear asked. "Sure", I replied. I was a bit shaky from the blood, but I padded out of the den and saw a bunch of cats crowded around Needlepaw. The reddish brown tom gave me a look, as if asking for help. His piercing amber eyes looked a little bit... green? **Strange**, I thought. I gave him an appolagetic look, and padded over to the leaders den. The walk from one side of camp, where the medicine den was, to the other side of camp, where the leaders den was, led me right next to the mob of cats, asking questions and making comments. I was shocked at what I heard. Someone had asked, "How did you defeat him, without even a scratch?", Another said, "Wow, Thunderclan must be terrified. You sent their deputy running like a kit!". I made it to the leaders den, and after asking Leafstar, and heading back to the medicine den to tell Skyear I was allowed to help, I told him I wanted to make sure Needlepaw and Featheredpaw were alright. I padded out, and realized just what had happened in the battle. A part of my mind wondered why Thunderclan had attacked, but that wasn't important compared to what I heard Robinwing say to my father.
