He had wanted an adventure sure, but not THIS! These "shards" have brought nothing but trouble. When he first got them, he thought it would be fun. Instead, he lost everything! His home, and father. He'd had to leave his family, friends, and past life. He was wanted for crimes-he didn't mean to do-in three different places. Lucas had sailed-and swam-away at his mother's urging, not wanting him to be arrested...or worse. Now he was here! On a faraway island not much knew about, with no one close, being hunted anywhere else, and alone...at least there were anchovies. That old bird's-who had given him these "shards"-words were still ringing in his head "They are after you now. Run. Harness your new powers and only return when you are ready. You alone can make things right!" Lucas muttered with a pang of despair and loneliness, "no pressure, right?" Since he got to the island he had tried and practiced his abilities- reluctantly and with not much else to do. So far, Lucas had hit himself three times, cut his paw, and nearly missed his own head.
