All I did was go through and color clothing I wanted, and deleted clothing I didn't want. Anyway, here are the instructions: Click the buttons in the side-bar to see clothing. Some will pop up as a closet, some will show up on the doll, and you keep clicking until you get the clothing you want. If the game pops up with a closet, click clothing to see different options of those clothes, and drag the wanted piece onto the doll.
NOTE:Some colors of clothing in the thumbnail may vary in the real game!
