So, on the whole, I’m not too worried about coming out. All my friends are either LGBTQ or are supporters. But when it comes to my grandparents… well. If you didn’t know already, I’m half Malaysian - and Malaysia is one of the most homophobic countries in the world. According to some random websites (forgot their names), less than 14% of Malaysians believe that LGBTQ should be accepted. It’s illegal to be openly homosexual in Malaysia. One set of my grandparents has lived in Malaysia all their lives, and have pretty old-fashioned views anyway. I’m really worried about coming out to them - what if i have to introduce them to my gf, if I ever get one? What will they think? I know they’ll have to find out eventually… but how long will I be able to pretend I’m straight? Especially because my dad keeps making jokes about me being bi *sob* Is there anybody else in the same situation, where you’re worried about not being accepted? If you are, come chat to me on my main acc, @Pikaspark178 Sorry if this is annoying or anything… If you only have bad things to say, please don’t say anything. I’m not in the mood for hate.
