------------------------------ C H A P T E R 1 ---------------------------------- *RING *RING I open my eyes. Another day. *yawn* If my mother and father don't catch me, I can get 5 more minutes of sleep. My eyes drift off.... Suddenly the door slams open "EMMA!!" uh oh. "OKAY OKAY I'M COMING!" Its only Wednesday. Can't wait until Saturday. But then Again, Mother and father think I'm lazy enough. My eye hurts. I get up and get ready. I sit down on the counter, pour a bowl of cereal, and sit ignoring mothers complains. "You should start wearing dresses Emma." "You failed another test?! Another disappointment." "Study harder." "I thought I grew a good girl. Not some girl who never studies and wears clothes out of a dumpster." At least she's not yelling. That's when you know its bad. I head off to school. School is fun for some people. I think it would be better if I passed grades and Maria never ca- "Oh look who it is." Maria stood up in front of me with her crew. Maria had long beautiful brown hair and green Emerald eyes. She was wearing a white dress with sunflowers. She was also wearing white heels. I don't like heels because I can't walk in them. "Why do you always where a stupid Eye patch? Did someone punched you for being pathetic?" *laughs* Her friends laugh too. I can't tell Her the real reason. I have an eyepatch.
