Bastille Day is today and I don't know exactly what the holiday is but a website said it was his birthday. I believe it has something to do with the French Revolution so I tried to draw him in a uniform but France was too poor and couldn't get uniforms. One thing I don't like is that after the French Revolution (when they got rid of the Monarchy) the destroyed all of the beautiful dresses Marie Antoinette, the French Queen and Austrian Princess owned in the storming of Versailles! Also, Marie Antoinette's last words were "Sorry sir, I did not mean to." as she stepped on the foot of her executioner and apologized to him. Also, during the Revolution which was influenced by the American Revolution they received no help from the United States even though they helped the USA win the war against England, aggravating Britain more and straining the French-English relationship! The United States declared "Neutrality to any foreign aggression" and ignored that France was suffering during the war. I think they should have sent weapons at least because France helped them but I understand neutrality.. unless people are suffering which in this case they weren't suffering terribly. Maybe I shouldn't speak but I think the United States is putting themselves in danger right now..
