Welcome to a Generic Platformer Challenge! WASD or Arrow Keys to move, jump, & duck. Avoid touching spikes. New mechanics are introduced every 10 levels. There are 45 total levels, which were all tested and are all possible to beat, if a level is too hard double-press G to skip it. (You can also press G to skip past most of the dialogue of a certain angry cube you'll encounter)
Finally got this project out! Man, I'm proud of myself. Pretty much the entire game was by me, @sknowles242. All music by the amazing one and only, Waterflame! Sound effects & pre-modified backdrops were provided by Scratch. And credits go to others as well... So, what's the deal with this platformer? Well, here's the story. Originally this was going to be a platformer that would slowly get more & more twisted, challenging, and chaotic! And at first, I wanted to make this platformer have 100 levels! Of course, in the middle of making the project, it became less & less enjoyable, 100 levels would seem more & more ridiculous, and I'd consider that I'm not used to having a large audience anyway. At some point I just wanted it done so, I cut it short to 45 levels, but did promise to make something cool, like a bossfight, at the end. Eventually, the platformer would be almost done, and it'd feel like there were only like 4 things to make the platformer somewhat unique compared to a standard generic platformer. However, the platformer is definitely somewhat challenging, has plenty of levels, includes a bossfight, and I think does a good job of reviving flash game memories, especially with Waterflame's music! So yeah, Generic Platformer Challenge! Someday I *might* make sequel to this with more twists & mechanics, higher difficulty, and maybe a more proper ending. #game #games
