I just wanted to thank you all so much. This chapter can officially be considered the midseason finale of Tales of Perfectheart. We are at the halfway point. So ohmagud thank you to the old viewers who stuck with toph since the early chapters and the new viewers giving toph a chance despite the massive amount of chapters to be read. This chapter has been planned since Houndpaw was introduced. And honestly writing this chapter was great. I think this is the happiest I've felt making a toph chapter, and I've made a decent amount of fun chapters. I want toph to be comedic cause thats what makes it way more fun to write and hopefully to read. Toph started out as just a silly little cat comic with a kitty that didn’t really match his name and then turned a comic where the title character didn’t feel like the main character anymore. Where the silly random things suddenly become plot relevant and serious. And speaking of Houndpaw, he has his warrior name now! And it’s not Houndfang. Ya’ll may not know, but the core apprentice cast excluding Perfectpaw got their warriors names chosen by being voted on by readers on smackjeeves, my old comic site. This was even before Dave was introduced so this was the early days. And for basically all of Toph’s run those have been their official warrior names even tho most of them have not even gotten their names yet. But as this chapter approached I considered Houndpaw’s warrior name more and more. And I didn’t think Houndfang fit him much at all. It sounded nice but it just didn’t feel right for him. And even though Houndfang was his warrior name for so long I’m alot happier having Houndflight be his official name. And while it might take a lil getting used too. I think its the right choice. And I hope you do too.
